Gratitude and satisfaction, 

It is possible to increase sustenance by cultivating thankfulness. One's degree of contentment could increase by showing gratitude for what they have. The power of contentment to attract more blessings and sustenance. In the Qur'an, Allah urges believers to show thankfulness, promising to increase their favour if they do (Quran 14:7).

 Support for Others

Another crucial approach to increase subsistence is generosity. Islam strongly encourages helping those in need, whether via charitable giving or just simple acts of kindness. 

perseverance and diligence

It's important to be practical when seeking for meals. Islam encourages commitment and perseverance in one's pursuits. The Prophet Muhammad  (ﷺ)

 said, "God likes it when one of you does a job and does it well." This emphasis on producing the greatest work possible reflects the idea that enhanced nourishment might come from laborious work.

 Training and the Development of Skills

Learning more and honing one's skills are additional ways to increase sustenance. People might find new chances to raise their standard of living and support their family by pursuing education and skill development. Islamic teachings place a lot of value on continual personal development.

Eliminating Illegal Money

In Islamic tradition, finding moral means to make money is highly appreciated. It is essential to stay away from unethical practises like gambling, usury (Riba), and other sources of illegal funds. It is thought that obtaining food in a just and moral way will bring rewards and wealth.

Be persistent while trying.

Problems and disappointments are inevitable in life. These characteristics enable individuals to overcome obstacles and maintain their pursuit of a sustainable way of life. The verse "And seek help through patience and prayer" (Quran 2:45) in the Qur'an emphasises the importance of patience.

 Praying for  your Guidance

And finally, asking Allah for guidance in prayer is a crucial part of enhancing sustenance. For believers, making du'a (supplication) for guidance and support is encouraged. This act of requesting heavenly assistance may provide clarity and direction.


اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْماً نَافِعاً، وَرِزْقاً طَيِّباً، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً

 

O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is of benefit , a good provision , and deeds that will be accepted.

Dua For Rizq (sustenance)

 

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَاجْبُرْنِي، وَعَافِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي، وَارْفَعْنِي


O Allah forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, support me, protect me, provide for me and elevate me.

اللَّهُ لَطِيفٌ بِعِبَادِهِ يَرْزُقُ مَن يَشَاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ الْقَوِيُّ الْعَزِيزُ


Allah is very Gracious and Kind to His slaves. He gives provisions to whom He wills. And He is the All-Strong, the All-Mighty.

 

Surah Ash-Shuraa - 42:19

 


Dua for Rizq( Sustenance)

 

رَبَّنَا أَنزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَآئِدَةً مِّنَ السَّمَاء تَكُونُ لَنَا عِيداً لِّأَوَّلِنَا وَآخِرِنَا وَآيَةً مِّنكَ وَارْزُقْنَا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ

 

O Allah our Lord! Send us from heaven a table set (with viands), that there may be for us - for the first and the last of us - a solemn festival and a sign from thee; and provide for our sustenance, for thou art the best Sustainer (of our needs).

Surah Al-Ma'ida - 5:114

 

الشَّيْطَانُ يَعِدُكُمُ الْفَقْرَ وَيَأْمُرُكُم بِالْفَحْشَاءِ ۖ وَاللَّهُ يَعِدُكُم مَّغْفِرَةً مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلًا ۗ وَاللَّهُ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ

“The Devil threatens you with (the prospect of) poverty and bids you to the shameful deed (of stinginess), while Allah promises you forgiveness and (great) bounties from Him. And Allah is All-Bountiful, All-Knowing.”

(Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:268)

وَأْمُرْ أَهْلَكَ بِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَٱصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا ۖ لَا نَسْـَٔلُكَ رِزْقًۭا ۖ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ ۗ وَٱلْعَـٰقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ

“Bid your people to pray and be diligent in (observing) it. We do not ask you to provide. It is We Who provide for you. And the ultimate outcome is (only) for (the people of) righteousness.”

(Surah Taha, 20:132)

 

إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ

“Indeed, it is Allah who is the (continual) Provider, the firm possessor of strength.”

(Surah Adh-Dhariyat, 51:58)

وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ

 And indeed, it is Allah who is the best of providers

(Surah Al-Hajj, 22:58)

“Then (Allah) sends to it an angel who is tasked to breathe soul into it. (The angel) is then commanded to write down four matters: the writing of the (developing child’s) rizq (sustenance), his life span, his actions, and whether he will be truly happy or miserable”

لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَوَكَّلُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ حَقَّ تَوَكُّلِهِ لَرُزِقْتُمْ كَمَا يُرْزَقُ الطَّيْرُ تَغْدُو خِمَاصًا وَتَرُوحُ بِطَانًا

“If you were to rely upon Allah with the reliance He is due, you would be given provision like the birds. It goes forth hungry in the morning and returns with a full belly at dusk.”
