Surah Fatiha is the First great and blessed surah of the Holy Quran which is consist on one bow and 7 verses. In this surah, The purity and majesty of Allah Almighty have been described, due to which surah Fatiha can be called Surah-Al_Hamd. All the books that were Revealed to all Prophets are summarized in the Quran, and Surah fatiha contains the summary of Quran, that's why it can also be called ummul
Quran. Recitation of this Surah cures all kinds of deceases, so this surah is also called
Surah Shifa.
بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ(1) الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ(2) مٰلِكِ یَوْمِ الدِّیْنِﭤ(3) اِیَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَ اِیَّاكَ نَسْتَعِیْنُﭤ(4) اِهْدِنَا الصِّرَاطَ الْمُسْتَقِیْمَ(5) صِرَاطَ الَّذِیْنَ اَنْعَمْتَ عَلَیْهِمْ ﴰ غَیْرِ الْمَغْضُوْبِ عَلَیْهِمْ وَ لَا الضَّآلِّیْنَ(7)
The name of God the Merciful
Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds (1) The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful (2) Sovereign on the Day of Judgment (3) You are we to worship and to You we seek help (4) Guide us to the straight path (5) The path of those upon whom You have bestowed blessings - not upon them is anger, nor those who go astray (7)

شروع اللہ کے نام سے جو بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا ہے
﴿۱﴾ سب طرح کی تعریف خدا ہی کو (سزاوار) ہے جو تمام مخلوقات کا پروردگار ہے﴿۲﴾ بڑا مہربان نہایت رحم والا﴿۳﴾ انصاف کے دن کا حاکم﴿۴﴾ (اے پروردگار) ہم تیری ہی عبادت کرتے ہیں اور تجھ ہی سے مدد مانگتے ہیں﴿۵﴾ ہم کو سیدھے رستے چلا﴿۶﴾ ان
لوگوں کے رستے جن پر تو اپنا فضل وکرم کرتا رہا نہ ان کے جن پر غصے ہوتا رہا اور نہ گمراہوں کے

عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَسِيرٍ فَنَزَلَ فَمَشَى رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ إِلَى جَانِبِهِ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِأَفْضَلِ الْقُرْآنِ فَتَلَا عَلَيْهِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ يعني سورة الفاتحة

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک سفر میں تھے، آپ اپنی سواری سے اس طرح اترے کہ آپ کے اصحاب میں سے ایک آدمی آپ کے ساتھ ساتھ چل رہا تھا۔ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس کی طرف متوجہ ہوئے اور فرمایا: کیا میں تمہیں قرآن کی سب سے بڑی کتاب نہ بتاؤں؟ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے پڑھا، "تمام تعریفیں اللہ کے لیے ہیں جو تمام جہانوں کا رب ہے" (1:1) یعنی سورۃ الفاتحہ۔

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was on a journey and he descended from his riding animal as a man among his companions was walking by his side. The Prophet turned to him and he said, “Shall I not tell you of the greatest of the Quran?” The Prophet recited to him, “All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds,” (1:1) meaning Surat al-Fatihah.

عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا جِبْرِيلُ قَاعِدٌ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعَ نَقِيضًا مِنْ فَوْقِهِ فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ فَقَالَ هَذَا بَابٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ لَمْ يُفْتَحْ قَطُّ إِلَّا الْيَوْمَ فَنَزَلَ مِنْهُ مَلَكٌ فَقَالَ هَذَا مَلَكٌ نَزَلَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ لَمْ يَنْزِلْ قَطُّ إِلَّا الْيَوْمَ فَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ أَبْشِرْ بِنُورَيْنِ أُوتِيتَهُمَا لَمْ يُؤْتَهُمَا نَبِيٌّ قَبْلَكَ فَاتِحَةُ الْكِتَابِ يعني سورة الفاتحة وَخَوَاتِيمُ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ لَنْ تَقْرَأَ بِحَرْفٍ مِنْهُمَا إِلَّا أُعْطِيتَهُ

ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جبرائیل فرشتہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے اوپر ایک چیخنے کی آواز سنی۔ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے سر اٹھایا اور فرمایا: یہ آسمان کا وہ دروازہ ہے جو آج کھلا ہے اور آج سے پہلے کبھی نہیں کھولا گیا۔ پھر اس میں سے ایک فرشتہ نازل ہوا اور جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے کہا کہ یہ فرشتہ آج زمین پر اترا ہے اور آج تک کبھی نہیں اترا۔ فرشتے نے آپ کو سلام کیا اور فرمایا: دو نوروں سے خوش ہوجاؤ جو تم سے پہلے کسی نبی کو نہیں دیے گئے تھے: کتاب کا آغاز، سورۃ الفاتحہ اور سورۃ البقرہ کی آخری آیات۔ . تم ان کی طرف سے کبھی کوئی حرف نہیں پڑھو گے مگر وہ تمہیں دیا جائے گا۔

Ibn Abbas reported: While the Angel Gabriel was sitting with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he heard a creaking noise above him. Gabriel raised his head and he said, “This is a door of heaven that has been opened today and it has never been opened before today.” Then an angel descended from it, and Gabriel said, “This angel descended to the earth today and he has never descended until today.” The angel greeted him with peace and he said, “Rejoice in two lights you have been given, which were not given to any prophet before you: the opening of the Book, Surat al-Fatihah, and the last verses of Surat al-Baqarah. You will never recite a letter from them but that you will be given.”
